The competition in detail The increasingly complex missions on offer are :
A competition at the heart of the industry of the future Organized as part of the INTERREG RobotHub Academie project, with the support of ENSISA, IUT Mulhouse, and IRIMAS, and in partnership with the BE 5.0 Industries du Futur trade show, URMC allows participants to:
- Tackle real-world problems and put their skills into practice;
- Promote robotics and scientific training to manufacturers and visitors at the trade show;
- Create exchanges between academics and businesses;
- Experience a unifying moment, at the crossroads of technology and conviviality.
For two days, visitors to the trade show will be able to watch autonomous mobile robots in action on a central stage, with the teams in full swing.

What is the main objective of this second edition?
Program mobile robots such as TurtleBot3 Burger to perform various tasks in a logistics context (moving around a warehouse, following a route, avoiding obstacles, pick and place, etc.).
The programming must enable the robots to operate safely in an unfamiliar environment.
Competition description:
The mobile robotics challenge revolves around a central platform where mobile robots operate according to predefined specifications (competition rules). The proposed logistics environment includes curves, intersections, a goods deposit area, and a passage through a warehouse without lighting, allowing for the definition of different missions to be carried out. Registered teams will have access to a simulation environment (digital twin) including: an example track layout; a robot simulation model; and examples of missions. This simulation environment allows teams to prepare and develop their various solutions.
During the BE5.0 trade show, a turtlebot3 burger mobile robot will be made available to each team.
