The Chalampé-Bantzenheim-Ottmarsheim industrial zone, located along the Grand Canal d'Alsace, is home to three major players in the European chemical industry: Alsachimie, Butachimie and LAT Nitrogen. These three companies are key players in the national and European economy in the fields of polyamides and fertilisers.
In 2023, the opportunity to join forces under the aegis of ADEME and thus maximise potential synergies in feasibility studies for decarbonisation led these three manufacturers to apply for the ZIBAC (Low-Carbon Industrial Zone) project and to form the local association ‘COB30’, dedicated exclusively to this project.
