MA
Martine ASSAR
IMT
Responsable de l'Observatoire des métiers et des compétences
Description
For nearly ten years, she has led analytical and forward-looking work on the evolution of jobs, skills, and training in industrial and digital sectors. In this capacity, she coordinates the production of studies, articles, and economic barometers that help anticipate companies’ needs and inform initial and continuing training policies. She notably contributed to the national project “Osons l’industrie du futur” (“Dare the Industry of the Future”), which aimed to make industrial transformations and emerging qualifications more understandable to young people, workers undergoing career transitions, and training stakeholders.
Convinced that attractiveness stems from a better understanding of professions, she is actively involved in promoting industry and its careers. She designs and hosts orientation webinars to showcase companies and their know-how from the inside, organizes “IMT Live” events on the Industry of the Future to foster industrial culture among young people, and works to promote gender diversity by encouraging girls and women to pursue industrial fields. In the same spirit, she has been leading the “Dare the Jobs of the Industry of the Future” MOOC since 2020, which has already raised awareness among thousands of learners.
As an active member of several professional bodies (Comité des Arts Mécaniques, 3AF, “Skills and Attractiveness” Commission of the French National Industry Council, Mediterranean Maintenance Forum, Circular Programmed Durability Association, Elles Bougent), she contributes to strategic discussions on industrial and technological transformations. Her work aims to strengthen dialogue between companies, territories, and training ecosystems, placing human and technical skills at the heart of industrial transition.
